Infinite Sadness

i walk through life an empty shell of a man.
my hopes empty with out a future.
chilled to the bone i walk naked through this city.
this city unseeing blurs past me uncaring.
i stare wanting at the last rays of the day.
with darkness encroaching on my beaten and battered soul
gone is the sun the last foothold of hope.
gone are the days of innocence.
my bloodless heart pounds at the thought.
the thought of an eternity of darkness.
of hate. of lust. of murder.
as the night washes over me i scream a bestial roar.
the innocent of the day tremble, drawn to my lustful call.
